Over time, weather, moisture, and temperature changes cause mortar to crack and break down, which can lead to water intrusion and structural damage if left untreated. At Ignite Chimney & Fireplace, we carefully grind out the failing mortar to the proper depth, clean the joints, and install new mortar that is color-matched to blend seamlessly with your existing brickwork. Our team ensures clean lines, proper curing, and a durable finish that not only strengthens your chimney or structure but also brings back its original look.

Rather than patching or repairing isolated damaged areas, we break the chimney down past the point of deterioration to ensure we’re working from a solid, stable foundation before rebuilding it properly. This method eliminates hidden weaknesses and delivers a longer-lasting result. In cases where the brickwork is still sound, we can also perform a crown-only service, removing the failed crown and replacing it with a properly poured concrete crown built with the correct slope and overhang to shed water effectively.
